Thixton, Chadwell Net All-American Honors

Apr 30, 2021

#11 Ryley Thixton

#8 Mica Chadwell

The National Christian College Athletic Association has announced the 2021 All-American teams and the Lady Bobcats have two receiving honors. Ryley Thixton (Ozark, MO) has been named NCCAA Second Team All-American and Mica Chadwell (Strafford, MO) has garnered Third Team All-American recognition.

Thixton, a 5'8 senior, outside hitter and defensive specialist posted impressive numbers in the shortened 2021 season.  She led the team in kills with 110, including a single-game, record tying performance with 31 against Lyon College on February 26, and she was second on the team in digs with 99. Thixton received A.I.I. Player of the Week honors twice and NCCAA Player of the Week honors once during the 2021 season.

Chadwell, a 5'8 freshman, led the defense for the Bobcats with 141 Digs and also led in service aces with 10. Adapting well to the college level in her first season as a Lady Bobcat, Chadwell was a solid contributior and mainstay on both sides of the ball in 2021.

Congratulations Ryley and Mica, NCCAA All-Americans!
