Point Lookout, MO - In an intense volleyball battle at the College of the Ozarks, the Lady Cats held on for a tightly contested win against the Evangel University Valor with a final score of 3-2 on Wednesday. This match was a big win for the Lady Cats, keeping their record perfect through the first five matches.

The Lady Cats started the match with strong performances in the first two sets, winning 25-18 and 25-19 respectively. However, the momentum shifted dramatically as the Valor took the next two sets, 25-12 and 25-14, tying the match and pushing it to a decisive fifth set. In a nail-biting final set, the Lady Cats edged out a victory with a 19-17 score, showing impressive composure with the momentum going against them. 

Key players made significant contributions in the win. Bri Linehan led the team with 15 kills, followed by Christa Duffel with 11 kills and 4 blocks, and Cora Roweton contributed 10 kills and 1 block. Defensive efforts were bolstered by Anna Brunner, who had 8 blocks, and Anna Howe, with 11 digs. On the service line, Faith Klindworth delivered 3 aces adding crucial points to the tally.
