In their first Sooner Athletic Conference road trip, the College of the Ozarks Lady Cats faced their first hostile environment of the season as they faced off against the Langston University Lions on Friday. Despite a strong effort, the Lady Cats fell 3 sets to 1 in favor of Langston.

The match kicked off with Langston taking an early lead, winning the first set 25-19. However, the  Lady Cats came roaring back in the second set, dominantly winning 25-13 and leveling the scoreline. Tension increased in the third set, where both teams battled fiercely, leading to a narrow 26-24 victory for Langston. Riding the momentum, Langston secured their win by capturing the fourth set with a score of 25-16, sealing the match.

Key players for the Lady Cats included Cora Roweton, who led with 12 kills and also added 3 blocks. Christa Duffel and Bri Linehan both contributed significantly with 8 kills each. On the defensive side, Kalli Noell contributed 6 blocks at the net, while Kamryn Link topped the digs count with 8. Contributions from Gabby Bozzay, who recorded 2 aces, and Audrey Riley who set up 16 assists, showcased the depth in the Lady Cats' lineup. 

College of the Ozarks vs Central Christian College - Saturday, September 13

McPherson, KS - In a match where they needed to bounce back from a tough loss the night before, the College of the Ozarks Lady Cats clinched a decisive victory against the Central Christian College Tigers on September 13, 2025, during the Sooner Athletic Conference. The match, which took place in McPherson, Kan., ended with a 3-0 sweep for the Lady Cats.

The match began with the Lady Cats establishing an early lead in the first set, pulling away for a 25-19 win. They continued their dominant play into the second and third sets, both concluding with identical scores of 25-17. This win bumped the Lady Cats' season record to 8-1, and continued building their conference record as they climbed to 3-1.

Key contributors in the match included Cora Roweton, who delivered a standout performance with 11 kills, followed by Anna Brunner with 7 kills and 5 total blocks, and Kalli Noell with 6 kills. Strong play continued at the net with significant contributions from Crista Duffel and Bri Linehan, who both added two total blocks each.

The defensive efforts were bolstered by multiple members contributing valuable digs: Anna Howe and Kamryn Link led the team with 8 digs each, ensuring solid defensive coverage throughout the match. The serving game was also strong, with Kamryn Link, Anna Howe, Gabby Bozzay, and Faith Klindworth contributing two aces each to keep the Tigers on their heels.

The offensive attack saw Kamryn Link distribute a high of 18 assists, followed closely by Audrey Riley with 14 assists, playing crucial roles in setting up successful plays and securing the match win.
