The win put the Lady Cats into the win column to start the Sooner Athletic Conference schedule and bumped the overall record to 6-0.

The match began with an intense first set and the Lady Cats had to come from behind to pull out a 27-25 win. With the Aggies jumping out to the early lead, the Lady Cats were forced to dig down and battle to take the lead and hold on down the stretch. The second set saw the Lady Cats take control early and pull away to secure a 25-18 win. By the third set, the Lady Cats had claimed the momentum and held off the aggies for a 25-21 win to complete the 3-0 sweep.

Faith Klindworth and Anna Howe, each added service aces to help secure the win.

Coach Stacy Muckenthaler commented, "Getting the conference schedule started off with a win is big. While we still have a lot to work on and we don't feel like we played as well as we are capable of tonight, we will continue to build and improve as we get deeper into the conference schedule. I am proud of our team for the way they battled back in the first set and regained the momentum for the rest of the match."

Looking ahead, the Lady Cats will face Wayland Baptist University on Saturday, at home in another Sooner Athletic Conference showdown.
