He scattered eight hits, struck out five and threw 81 pitches before exiting in the sixth. Oklahoma Panhandle State finally broke through with a four-run sixth, highlighted by a two-run double down the left-field line from Devin Lopez and an RBI double by Fernando Espino, trimming the Bobcats’ lead to 5-4 and shifting the momentum.
The Aggies completed the comeback in the seventh. Genesis Nunez sparked the Aggie offense from the top of the order, reaching base multiple times and scoring three runs. For the Bobcats, pitcher Cameron Jennings handled the bulk of the work on the mound, helping keep the game within reach despite the Aggies’ bursts in the fourth and fifth.
Down three runs heading into their final at-bat, the Bobcats’ offense answered in the seventh. Robertson again ignited the comeback with a sacrifice fly to cut the deficit, and College of the Ozarks kept the line moving with key hits. Baumann came through with a crucial run-scoring single, and Tyler followed with an RBI single of his own as the Bobcats completed the four-run inning and walked off with a 7-6 win. College of the Ozarks finished the nightcap with seven runs on seven hits, drawing five walks and stranding just five runners.

Baumann contributed on both sides of the ball, turning in a quality start in the opener and adding two RBIs at the plate in the second game. With the split, the Bobcats showed resilience on their home field, responding to a late-inning setback in Game 1 by delivering a late-inning answer in Game 2.
C of O vs OPSU Game 3 - Saturday, March 14
A six-run seventh inning and a dominant complete game from right-hander George Reynolds lifted College of the Ozarks to a 7-1 win over Oklahoma Panhandle State on Saturday afternoon, breaking open a tight contest at Coach Bob Smith Field.
Tied 1-1 heading into the bottom of the seventh, the Bobcats seized control with a barrage that started and ended with power. Brody Tyler sparked the decisive frame with a solo home run down the right-field line to give College of the Ozarks its first lead at 2-1. Later in the inning, with two on and two out, Chase Robertson delivered the knockout blow, turning on a pitch and sending a three-run, unearned homer down the left-field line to cap the six-run outburst and push the lead to 7-1.
In between those long balls, the Bobcats capitalized on Oklahoma Panhandle State miscues and timely hitting. Aaron Fisher came around to score on an RBI double by third baseman Chandler Eubanks, whose hit down the left-field line extended the lead to 3-1. After a walk and a fielder’s choice, Ty Rush lifted a sacrifice fly to right, plating Brody Baumann to make it 4-1. The Aggies’ defensive struggles helped set the table for Robertson, who finished the day 1-for-1 with four walks and three RBIs.
The offensive eruption backed a stellar outing from Reynolds, who went the distance for College of the Ozarks. The right-hander scattered six hits over nine innings, allowing one unearned run while striking out five and walking two on just 83 pitches. Reynolds retired the side in order in the ninth to finish off the complete game and secure the Bobcats’ victory in front of the home crowd.
Oklahoma Panhandle State struck first in the top of the fourth inning. Juan Perez reached and eventually scored when Devin Lopez reached on a throwing error by Eubanks at third, giving the Aggies a 1-0 lead. The Bobcats answered immediately in the bottom half, when Landon Jines doubled to right-center to drive in Lance Strahan, tying the game at 1-1 and setting the stage for the late fireworks.
Baumann was a key table-setter for the Bobcats, finishing 3-for-4 with a run scored and a walk as College of the Ozarks totaled eight hits. The Bobcats also showed patience at the plate, drawing 14 walks and stranding 14 runners, consistently pressuring the Aggies’ pitching staff. Tyler added a walk to go with his seventh-inning home run, while College of the Ozarks also collected two doubles in the win.
For Oklahoma Panhandle State, starter Adam Hinojosa kept the game close through 5 2/3 innings, allowing one run on five hits with one strikeout and eight walks over 77 pitches. Reliever Matao Laguna took the loss after being tagged during the decisive seventh, as the Aggies’ staff combined to allow seven runs – only two earned – and 14 walks. Despite early traffic on the bases, the Aggies’ offense managed just six hits and one unearned run off Reynolds, leaving six runners stranded.
College of the Ozarks’ combination of patient at-bats, power in the late innings and Reynolds’ efficiency on the mound proved to be the difference, turning a one-run contest into a comfortable 7-1 home victory.
