The Lady Bobcats entered the A.I.I. Conference Tournament as the #1 seed and took on the #8 seed Lincoln Christian University (Ill.) early Friday morning. C of O took care of business, picking up a big win, 90-45.
Like many times before, Annie Noah went to work in the post to get things going for the Lady Cats, scoring the first bucket of the game. Noah would finish the game with 14 points and lead the team with eight rebounds. Midway through the first quarter, Abby Oliver would nail a two-point basket, to cap a 10-2 Lady Bobcat run. Oliver would go on to score a game-high 15 points.
While Lincoln Christian played very hard, College of the Ozarks controlled the game throughout. C of O never trailed in the game, leading at halftime by a score of 44-21.
In the second half, C of O punished the inside of the Red Lion 2-3 zone with a plethora of cutters, finishing the game with 42 paint points. Just before the end of the third quarter, Harper Little would grab a rebound and drive the length of the floor to score a layup plus the foul. The converted free throw would extend the lead to 65-34.
College of the Ozarks would continue to score efficiently in the fourth quarter, winning the game 90-45, with every player scoring and racking up 22 team assists.
In addition to Noah and Oliver, two other Lady Bobcats would score in double-figures. Aleksei Smith scored 14 points to go along with four rebounds and three assists. Julie Stone would add 12 points and four assists.
As a team, C of O shot 35 for 75 (46.7%) from the field, while holding Lincoln Christian to just 18 for 55 (32.7%). The Lady Bobcats were dominant on the boards, 54-33, and won the turnover battle, 12-6.

With the win, the Lady Bobcats advance to the second round which will be played Saturday, February 29 at 1:00 PM.
