Cochran Named A.I.I. Player of the Week for Third Time this Season

Congratulations go out to Brandt Cochran, who was named today as the final A.I.I. Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the season.  

 

The Bobcats' senior guard posted a double double, just missing a triple double, as he led his team to a 116-85 win over Ecclesia College (Ark.) this past Tuesday. The Lawrenceville, Ill. native scored 26 points, shooting10-17 from the field (58.8%), while draining six of 11 (54.5%) from beyond the three-point arc. Cochran not only shot lights out but added 10 rebounds, 8 assists, and 2 steals for the night.

 

Cochran currently ranks in the Top 20 in several NAIA DII stats: #3 in Free Throw Pct (0.898),  #6 in Total Assists (153), #8 in Assists per game (5.276), #13 in Total 3-Pt FG Made (90), and  #19 in Division II in 3-Pt Fg Made per Game (3.103).

 

Brandt is a three-time recipient of the award for 2019-2020. He bookends this season's awards, earning the first A.I.I. Men's Basketball Player of the Week award on November 18, 2019 and securing the final award of the season on February 24, 2020. He also received the award on February 3, 2020.
