The College of the Ozarks Lady Bobcats lost in straight sets on the road at Missouri Southern on Tuesday, 24-26, 18-25, and 16-25.

In the opening set, the Lions jumped out early to a 7-2 lead.  However, C of O used three kills from Kaylee Larimer to claw back within striking distance.  Despite tying the game at 24 via a Maggie Plake kill, Missouri Southern scored two straight to take the first set.

The Lady Cats pounced in the second set to go up 7-4 following an ace by Izzy Gibbany.  Unfortunately, the Lions scored six of the next seven points to take the lead 10-8.  The Lions remained relentless on the attack, hitting .406 to just .069 for the Lady Cats, to finish set two, 18-25.

The Lady Cat woes from the attack continued in the third set as C of O managed just 8 kills on 35 touch attempts (.029).  Missouri Southern countered with 14 kills (.312) to take the set 16-25.

With the win, Missouri Southern improves to 8-4 and C of O’s record now stands at 12-8.

C of O stat leaders included:  Reilly Wallace – 8 kills, 17 assists, 8 digs.  Abi Menzies – 7 kills.  Izzy Gibbany – 14 digs and 3 assists.
