Rielly Dobbs Named NCCAA Student Athlete of the Week

College of the Ozarks’ junior setter Rielly Dobbs of Nixa, Mo. has been named as the NCCAA DI Women’s Volleyball  Student Athlete of the Week for her performance on the court for the week ending August 26, 2018.

Last week, the Lady Bobcats played four matches as part of the Silver Dollar City Tournament hosted by College of the Ozarks.   Dobbs had a phenomenal tournament for the Lady Bobcats, where she tallied 137 assists, 37 kills (.423 hitting %), 37 digs, and 8 blocks in 14 sets played. To top off the two-day event, Dobbs collected a triple-double with 21 kills, 46 assists, and 17 digs in the Lady Cats' five-set, come-from-behind, final match of the tournament against Evangel University.

Dobbs joined the Lady Bobcats as a freshman and has been a steady contributor to the team’s success since her arrival.  In her first and second seasons, Dobbs was named NAIA Honorable Mention All-American and First-Team All-Conference.  She also collected the Association of Independent Institutions’ A.I.I. Freshman of the Year award in 2016 and Setter of the Year award in 2017.  She has led the team in assists each year, having dished 2,324 assists to date for her career.
