Congratulations go out to Brandt Cochran on receiving this week's A.I.I. Player of the Week and NCCAA Student Athlete of the Week honors.

The junior guard has been on fire for the Bobcats the past few weeks, and this past week has been no exception, as he played a key role in the College's three victories.

In the Bobcats’ first game of the week, Cochran scored 23 points, going 7-15 from the field and 7-13 from beyond the 3-point line against DI rival Evangel University.

Against A.I.I. foe Northern New Mexico College, the Lawrenceville, Ill. native posted his most impressive game of the week.  He went 13-20 (65%) from the field, while sinking 10 three-pointers in 13 attempts (76.9%), to tally 36 points in the game.

He followed up on Saturday, also against NNMC,  netting 24 points, as he went 9-16 from the field and 4-6 in treys.

For the week, Cochran shot 56.9% from the field and 65.6% from beyond the three-point arc. He also added 18 rebounds, 18 assists, 7 steals and one block over the three-game stretch.

Cochran currently ranks NAIA DII #1 in 3-Pt FG % at 62%, #3 in Total 3-pt FG made (59), and #4 in 3-pt FG made/game (4.214).  He also is leading his team in assists (3.43/gm) and steals (1.36/gm).

Great job. Brandt!
