Michael White of VanBuren HS Signs with Cats

College of the Ozarks’ Bobcats are pleased to announce the signing of Michael White, a left-handed pitcher from Van Buren, Mo., for the 2019-2020 season.

White played for Van Buren High School this fall and racked up 36 strikeouts in 21 innings while maintaining an ERA of under 2.00. He also posted a .500 average at the plate for the Bulldogs.  

Prior to attending Van Buren, White played at Poplar Bluff High School, where he tallied 31 strikeouts in 24 innings and held a 3.10 ERA as a junior.  

Michael plans to major in exercise science and eventually attend school to become a physical therapist. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, hanging out with his family, and playing as much baseball possible.
