College of the Ozarks Bobcats Baseball had three players named this week as NCCAA Scholar Athletes: Collan Thrasher, Sean Neal, and Kole Kelley.
In order to be named as an NCCAA Scholar Athlete, competing student-athletes must be a junior or senior and hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.
Achieving scholar athlete status at College of the Ozarks is especially difficult because all students are required to work 15 hours per week at their on-campus work station. Maintaining a high GPA while juggling classroom participation, homework, competitions, travel, and practices requires great dedication and discipline.
Congratulations to these three awardees on an excellent season both in the classroom and on the diamond!
