College of the Ozarks senior Kelsie Cleeton was named women’s basketball Player of the Week by both the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) and the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) for her performance in last week’s games.
Cleeton, a 5’7 guard for the Lady Bobcats, had a big week, as she demonstrated her versatility on the court. On Saturday, Cleeton posted a quadruple-double, as the Lady Cats downed A.I.I. competitor Lincoln Christian University, 84-44. The Springfield, Mo. native tallied 14 points, 13 rebounds, 12 steals, and 11 assists. In the Lady Cats’ 90-46 win over Cottey College earlier in the week, Cleeton posted a double-double with 10 points and 17 rebounds, adding 7 assists and 2 steals.
On the week, Cleeton averaged 12 points, 15 rebounds, 9 steals, and 7 assists per game, almost posting a triple-double for the week. For the season, she has accumulated 15 double-doubles, two triple-doubles, and one quadruple-double.
