The College of the Ozarks Golf teams traveled to Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas this week for the Moundbuilder Spring Classic. The Lady Bobcats brought home the 2021 championship and the men finished fourth in their respective fields.
The women’s course played at a par 72 with 5809 total yards. All four of the Lady Cats placed in the top 15 with Kate Voss leading the way tied for 6th overall. Kate trimmed three strokes off her day one total of 90 to shoot an 87 on day two (177 total). Hannah Aherin finished one stroke behind Voss and improved her day two score by two strokes to finish tied for eighth place, shooting 178. Ashley Stanphill came in with a 178, just one stroke behind Aherin to finish 1oth overall. Katelyn Swope finished out the team scoring by posting a 182 over the two-day event and good for 12th place overall. The combined scores propelled the ladies to the tournament championship - a full 14 strokes ahead of the second-place team.
Congratulations Lady Bobcats on the 2021 Moundbuilder Spring Classic Championship!
