College of the Ozarks Lady Bobcats’ volleyball team will open their 2019 season at home on Tuesday evening, August 27th, by hosting Evangel University. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Keeter Gymnasium.
The Lady Bobcats are coming off another exceptional season, where they posted a 33-7 record and finished Runner-Up in the 2018 NCCAA DI Women’s Volleyball National Championship.
Returning to the lineup are All-Americans’ Rielly (Dobbs) Wallace and Haley Stallings, along with fellow seniors Kaylee Larimer, Shay (Helsel) Latture, and Maggie Plake. Juniors Ryley Thixton and Kaylan Smith will continue to play key roles for the squad. Sophomore returners feature Megan Caulfield and Wendy Smith.
New to this year’s team are Izzy Gibbany (Missouri State University) and Mattea Reeb, a current C of O student, alongside freshmen Kiley Counts (Winona), Leatha Keller (Summersville), Delanie Gaston (Springdale, Ark.), Lynnae Grus (Saint Clair), and Abi Menzies (Clever).
Stacy Muckenthaler will enter her sixth season at the helm of the Ozarks’ team, having compiled a career record of 126-64. Joining her on the sideline will be student assistant coach Morgan Copeland and team manager Emma Miller.
The Lady Bobcats will spend a great deal of this season on the road but will host four home matches, a tri-match, and the annual Chick-fil-A Tournament. Check out the Lady Bobcats’ online schedule for match dates and times.
All matches will be played at the Keeter Gymnasium on the College of the Ozarks campus. There is no charge for admission to the games.
