College of the Ozarks Men’s basketball traveled to Northern New Mexico for back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday.  Friday evening the Bobcats stumbled out of the gate shooting just 32% from the field and falling behind by as many as 18.  The Northern New Mexico Eagles controlled the boards in the first half 16-9.  A late push fueled by a pair of Heath Carmichael three-point makes trimmed the halftime deficit to 36-25.

In the second half, the Bobcats seemed to find their legs shooting a blazing 57% from the field and nine of 17 (52.9%) from downtown.  While the Eagles maintained 50% from the field for the half, they went ice cold from down town connecting on only one of 11 three-point attempts.  Although the Bobcats were able to claw to within four points on seven occasions, the first half cold streak was too much to overcome as C of O falls 72-67.

Brandt Cochran led all scorers with 31 including seven three-pointers.  Ethan Davidson and Heath Carmichael chipped in 16 and 15 points respectively.

The Bobcats get a chance to redeem themselves against Northern New Mexico on Saturday, February 2 at 3 PM MT (4 PM CST).
