The College of the Ozarks volleyball team celebrated Senior Night on Tuesday evening by hosting Lyon College (Ark.).  Before the game, the Lady Cats honored seven seniors including Kaylee Larimer, Haley Stallings, Shay Latture, Rielly Wallace, Maggie Plake, Student Assistant Coach Morgan Copeland, and Student Manager Emma Miller.

Following the festivities, the Lady Bobcats took the first set, 25-20, capitalizing on a combination of Lyon College attack errors and a bevy of Ryley Thixton kills.  For the first set the Lady Cats attacked well as a team, punishing 12 kills on 24 attempts with just 4 errors.

Lyon College struck back in the second set, jumping out to a nine-point lead, 6-15.  While the Lady Cats managed to trim the lead to just one-point late in the set, the Scots took the second frame, 18-25.  Lyon cut out the errors from the first set to tally 14 kills at an efficient .462 attack rate.

The third set was a back-and-forth battle that included 16 ties.  The Lady Cats took a late lead, 20-18, but a collision with a Lyon College player reinjured a nagging ankle injury from last year for Outside Hitter Ryley Thixton.  Unfortunately, C of O had to finish the match without Thixton, who sat out the rest of the match.  The Lady Scots proceeded to go on a 7-2 run to take the pivotal third set, 22-25.

In the fourth set, C of O quickly fell behind 5-10.  Following a timeout, the Lady Cats battled back to tie the game late off a huge block by Seniors Kaylee Larimer and Maggie Plake.  However, the Scots finished the set, 23-25, for the match win.

The Lady Bobcat Seniors represented on the stat sheet, as Kaylee Larmier led the team with 11 kills.  Senior Rielly Wallace dished out a game-high 30 assists.  Fellow seniors Haley Stallings and Shay Latture led all others with 12 digs each.
