College of the Ozarks baseball team had two Bobcats named as Player of the Week, following the Cats’ 4-0 sweep of Manhattan Christian College (MCC) last weekend.

Collan Thrasher (Atlanta, MO), a senior pitcher for the Bobcats, was named A.I.I. Pitcher of the Week. Thrasher struck out 11 batters over six innings to earn his fourth victory of the season, a 6-0 win over Manhattan Christian College on Friday. The right-hander surrendered just two singles and did not walk a batter. This was his sixth start this year in which he has allowed no walks. Thrasher leads the team with a 3.19 ERA on the season.  He is ranked No. 2 in the NAIA for Walks Allowed per Nine Innings, having given up only two walks in 53.2 innings pitched.

Max Pulley (Leawood, KS), a sophomore for the Bobcats, was named NCCAA Player of the Week. Pulley batted .700 in the Bobcats’ four-game series with MCC (7-for-10) with five runs scored, and six runs batted in.  His stats featured a double and a triple. The leadoff hitter also walked twice and was hit by pitch three times, adding a pair of stolen bases to the mix. His on-base percentage (.800) highlighted his weekend. Pulley currently leads the team in batting average with a .386 and has drawn the most walks (17) for the season.

Congrats to Collan and Max!
