The Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) has announced the seeds and bracket for this year's 2019 A.I.I. Baseball Championship tournament, beginning Saturday, May 4, and lasting through Tuesday, May 7, at the Grizzly Softball Complex in Lawrenceville, Ga.
Georgia Gwinnett College, ranked No. 3 in the NAIA Top 25 poll, is the No. 1 seed in the five-team, double-elimination tournament. The Grizzlies (40-11) will play their first tournament game on Saturday at 7 p.m. against the winner of the opening 11 a.m. contest between No. 4-seeded Edward Waters College (Fla.), which brings in a 26-33 record, and No. 5 College of the Ozarks (Mo.), at 23-27 for the season.
Saturday's second game features the No. 2-seeded Talladega College (Ala.), at 22-20, against No. 3-seeded Fisher College (Mass.), 36-13, at 3 p.m.
Three games also are scheduled for Sunday, May 5, with the championship round set for Monday, May 6. If a champion hasn't be determined, a winner-takes-all final game would be played on Tuesday, May 7, at 11 a.m.
All game times are in the eastern time zone.
The two teams playing in the A.I.I. championship game will automatically qualify to represent the conference in the Opening Round of the 2019 NAIA tournament.
The A.I.I. will recognize players from several conference teams during a pre-tournament banquet on Friday, May 3, on the Georgia Gwinnett College campus.

Each has played an important role in the Bobcats' success over the past several seasons, and we look for them to continue to lead the team well during the tournament.
