Double-sport athlete, Rebecca Loya is no stranger to long distance running. Loya has competed on the cross country for the Bobcats for the past three years and is now bringing her talent and endurance to the track team. During her cross-country career at Hillcrest High School in Springfield, Missouri, Loya was captain for two years, earned 1st Team All-Conference honors (2x), and won a state championship. Not only did she excel athletically, but she was also the valedictorian of her class and earned state awards for music. This season, Rebecca hopes to encourage her teammates to do their best. During her free time, Rebecca enjoys playing the violin, gardening, and hiking.
