Junior forward, Jay Baxter, returns to the Bobcats from Stockton, Missouri. While at Stockton High School, Baxter received All-Conference (x4), All-District (x4), All-State (x2), and Academic All-State (x2) honors. Baxter scored over 1500 points in his high school career. Along with basketball, Jay also competed in track, setting Stockton’s 400-meter dash record. His freshman season, Jay led the team in rebounds with 203 and steals with 41. Last season, Jay once again led the team in rebounds with 213, he also contributed 33 blocks and 60 assists overall. This year, Baxter hopes to be the best forward he can be, maintain standards of excellence, and to glorify Christ above all else.
