Christa Duffel, a senior middle hitter for the Lady Bobcats returns to the team from Strafford, Missouri. During her time as an Indian, Christa was a key player for the team at the net, earning All-Conference, All-District, and All-State honors. She was also an All-District javelin thrower for Strafford’s track team, holding the school record for farthest throw. During her freshman season for the Bobcats, Christa slammed down 102 kills for the team while also being named a Maroon Scholar on the Athletic Directors Honor Roll. As a sophomore, Duffel was awarded Maroon Scholar once again and had an impressive 144 kills. Last season, in her junior year, Crista was a Maroon Scholar for a third time and was a recipient of the Chris Waller Outstanding Student Athlete of the year all while recording a remarkable 166 kills and consistently powering her team’s offense. A Criminal Justice major, Christa looks to be a great leader and bring the energy, excitement, and positivity.
