Oklahoma City, OK - In a series that was shifted from Coach Bob Smith Field to Oklahoma City due to weather, the Bobcats climbed aboard the bus and made the trip to Mid-America Christian University for a three game tilt.
Game 1:
In game one of a conference clash on February 23, 2025, the College of the Ozarks Bobcats faced off against the Mid-America Christian University Evangels in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Bobcats couldn't secure a win, falling to the Evangels with a final score of 8-1.
The only run for the Bobcats came from Ty Rush, thanks to an RBI contributed by Charlie Parker. However, it was Mid-America Christian who dominated, with multiple players contributing significantly to their lead. D'Andre Gaines from the Evangels marked a key moment in the game by hitting a solo home run in the top of the 5th inning which bolstered the Evangels' lead. Additional runs came through sequences in the top innings, including a two-run single by Payton Matthews and successive RBI singles from Julian Martinez and Jonluke Hobdy.
Starting pitcher Brody Baumann took the mound for the Bobcats, giving up just 2 earned runs through 5.2 innings pitched. The Evangels capitalized on opportunities, adding 2 unearned runs during Baumann's tenure on the mound and providing 4 more against the Cats' relief pitching.
Parker, Rush, and Aaron Fisher were the only offensive contributors, adding a hit each.
