Down 2-3, the Lady Cats posted five straight kills (Bri Linehan, Christa Duffel, Abby Chadwell, and Brooklyn Crawford x2) to set the tone and take the lead, 7-3. The Aggies responded, however, putting up four consecutive points before another Brooklyn Crawford kill made the score 9-7. After a couple back-and-forth points, the Lady Cats went on a tear. Three Bailey Chamberlain kills mixed in with a couple Aggie errors pushed the score to 17-10. As the Lady Cats looked to put away the first set, kills coming from Grace Hancock, Bri Linehan, Bailey Chamberlain, and Christa Duffel continued the Lady Cats’ scoring frenzy. Another Christa duffel kill led to set point at 24-15, but the Aggies fought back with three straight points to put the score at 24-18. A Brooklyn Crawford kill, however, put an end to the Aggies’ streak and secured the set 1 victory.

After going down 5-10, the Lady Cats took their first timeout of the set. Brooklyn Crawford looked to swing the momentum out of the timeout with a kill, but two Aggie blocks and an attack error increased the Lady Cat deficit to 6-14. A Bailey Chamberlain block and a couple Aggie errors, followed by a Mica Chadwell ace and a Christa Duffel kill gave the Lady Cats some life, scratching back to 12-18. After the scoring rally, however, the Aggies went up 21-14 and scored 4 straight to win set 2, 25-14.

Set 3: The Lady Cats came into set 3 ready to redeem themselves from their previous set. The Aggies put an end to the 9-0 run with two kills of their own. After an Aggie service error, they put together three straight kills before Bri Linehan responded with one of her own, setting the score at 11-5. Two Aggie attack errors and a Brooklyn Crawford kill made the score 14-6, but the Aggies scored three straight, reducing their deficit to 9-15.
