The Bobcat and Lady Cat Track teams have begun their 2024 campaign and they have jumped out to a great start.

Searcy, AR - In the opening meet of the season, the Cats traveled to Harding University in Searcy, AR where nine team members qualified for the NCCAA National Championship meet in May. Sarah Alferink (1500m), Keena Goze (5000m), Rebecca Loya (5000m), Morgan Wood (400m Hurdles), and Maisie Goodwin (Javelin) qualified on the women’s side while Drew Rose (Steeple Chase), Chase Larimore (Pole Vault), Gavin Fletcher (Shot Put), and Tanner Bailey (5000m) qualified for the men.

Rolla, MO – The teams next traveled to  Rolla for the tough Missouri S & T - Miner Invitational.. The meet included 19 teams from all levels and would be solid competition and a good measuring stick for the Cats.  The Bobcats added one more NCCAA Nationals qualifier to the list when Tucker Ahlers punched his ticket in the Javelin. The Bobcats turned in top ten finishes by Tanner Bailey (5000m) and Drew Rose (3000m Steeplechase) and the Lady Cats had three top ten finishes with Keena Goze and Rebecca Loya in the 5000m and Morgan Wood in the 400m Hurdles.
