Bobcats and Lady Cats Host Champion Athletes of the Ozarks Clinic Feb 17, 2024 Champion Athletes of the Ozarks Point Lookout, MO - The College of the Ozarks Bobcat and Lady Cat Basketball teams hosted a clinic for Champion Athletes of the Ozarks prior to their Saturday games. Champion Athletes of the Ozarks was formed in March of 2002 and was established to enhance their athlete’s lives, build successful individuals and to expand their opportunities through sports training and competition and new activities. Champion Athletes of the Ozarks is a local organization; located in Springfield, Missouri where all donations of time and money provide sports programs and opportunities for children and adults with disabilities living in the Ozarks area. All programs are offered to their athletes at no cost. Champion Athletes of the Ozarks is an athlete driven program. Each athlete is treated with respect, encouraged to work with a high level of self-esteem and personal success, therefore adopting these skills into their everyday lives. The Bobcats and Lady Cats welcomed the Champion Athletes to Keeter Gym as they hosted a skills clinic focused on the fundamental skills of basketball. Champion Athletes were then able to put their skills on display as they scrimmaged during halftime of the Lady Cats game against Haskell Indian Nations University. Champion Athletes day is an annual event that the athletes and coaches enjoy. It provides an opportunity for Bobcat Athletics to give back to the community and build relationships outside of the College of the Ozarks Campus.
