The College of the Ozarks Lady Bobcats are making final preparations for the NCCAA Division I Basketball National Champioship Tournament.
As the winners of the NCCAA Central Region Tournament, the College of the Ozarks Lady Bobcats have earned an automatic bid to the National Christian College Athletic Association Division I Women’s Basketball National Championship Tournament. The tournament will be held March 15-18 at Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana.
Coach Becky Mullis worked hard to build a challenging schedule for the 2021-22 campaign and that strength of schedule paid off. With the sixth highest power rating in the country, the Lady Cats schedule was a key component in securing a top seed in the tournament. The Lady Cats also put together a solid run to finish out the season, winning the last 14 games of the season and 16 of their last 18.
The Lady Cats depart for Winona Lake on Monday, March 13 and will begin competing for the national crown on Wednesday, March 15 at 3:30 PM. The Lady Cats are the #2 seed out of eight teams and will face the #7 seed, Asbury University of Wilmore, Kentucky in the opening round. They are guaranteed three games, as the tournament will be played out to place all eight teams, but the Lady Cats have a National Championship as their goal.
All fans are invited to join us as we send off the Lady Cats to compete for a national title, Monday, March 13th at 9 AM in the Ashcroft dorm parking lot on the C of O campus.
