Bethany, OK - In the NCCAA regional championship game on last week, the College of the Ozarks Bobcats faced off against the Southwestern Christian University Eagles in Bethany, Oklahoma. Despite strong efforts, the Bobcats fell to the Eagles with a final score of 7-4.

The game began with promise for the Bobcats as Craig Busse drove in the first run in the second inning, signaling a potentially strong offensive game. However, the Eagles quickly responded, leveling the score and keeping the pressure on. The Bobcats briefly regained the lead in the fourth inning after an RBI single by Charlie Parker, but their advantage was short-lived as the Eagles surged ahead in later innings.

Despite several key moments where the Bobcats seemed poised for a comeback, including a threat in the seventh inning, they could not reverse the momentum. Ty Thatcher, the starting pitcher for the Cats, threw 3 innings and was relieved by George Reynolds. Nicolas Alexander recorded the final two outs for the Cats. Charlie Parker and Ty Rush collectively secured four of the Bobcats' seven hits. Even with RBIs from Trey Riley and Brody Baumann, the Bobcats could not clinch the win.

With this game, Bobcats end their season with a record of 21-29. The Southwestern Christian University Eagles will advance to the NCCAA World Series, which will take place in Kansas City, MO.
