Dallas, TX - In a display of disciplined basketball, the College of the Ozarks Lady Cats delivered a resounding victory over the UNT Dallas Trailblazers with a final score of 93-60 in their conference showdown at Ellis Davis Fieldhouse on Saturday. This win solidifies the Lady Cats' impressive season record to 18-9 overall and 16-7 in conference play.

From the opening tip-off, Susie Moran set the tone for the Lady Cats, scoring the first points and eventually tallying up a total of 25 points and 18 rebounds, making her the top scorer and rebounder of the night. Her performance was complemented by Taylor Rush and Abbey Linville, scoring 13 and 16 points respectively, both of whom played critical roles throughout the game. Assists from Blythe Benefield and Abbey Linville, each registering 6, provided several key plays that kept the momentum in favor of the Lady Cats.

The game unfolded with the Lady Cats establishing an early 10-point lead by the end of the first period and maintaining their prowess to lead 39-27 at half-time. The Lady Cats held the Trailblazers back from closing the gap, despite a few challenges. Notably, Taylor Rush's fast-break 3-pointers were pivotal in offsetting the Trailblazers' attempt to close the gap.

The second half saw the Lady Cats further widen the lead, thanks to consistent scoring from players like Avery Arnold, Abigail McBride, and Lauren Jones. The team's definitive push in the final period saw them extending their largest lead to 39 points, sealing a dominant finish. With this win, the Lady Cats have showcased their competitive edge and readiness for the challenges ahead in the season.

With this win, the Lady Cats secured home-court advantage in the first round of the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament. The Lady Cats will host the Texas Wesleyan University Rams on Thursday, February 27th at 6:00 PM.
