Point Lookout, MO - In an intense basketball showdown, the College of the Ozarks Lady Bobcats secured a hard-fought victory against the Mid-America Christian University Evangels with a final score of 81-76 on Saturday, at Keeter Gym. This vital win enhances the Lady Cats' standing in the Sooner Athletic Conference, pushing their season record to an impressive 15-7 overall and 13-5 in the conference. The game, featuring two top-tier teams, saw the Lady Cats trailing by a narrow margin at halftime, with a score of 33-34. However, a remarkable resurgence in the second half, particularly in the fourth quarter, saw them outpace the Evangels. 

Susie Moran was in stellar form, contributing a game-high 30 points along with 18 rebounds, achieving a significant double-double. Logan Jones also played a pivotal role, adding 23 points and 4 steals to the winning effort. Additional contributions came from players like Abbey Linville, who sank a pair of crucial threes that were key to clinching the victory in the dying minutes of the game. 

Facing the #22 ranked Evangels in the NAIA and the #3 team in the conference standings added extra stakes to the matchup. The Lady Cats' ability to overturn the halftime deficit and dominate late in the game underscores their depth and the high level of competition within the Sooner Athletic Conference. 

Looking ahead, the Lady Cats are set to face the University of Science & Arts in their next game on February 6, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. The Lady Cats are preparing for the push to the post-season and looking to continue a solid run.
