Lady Cats Finish 3rd, Bobcats 9th to Wrap Up Golf Season Apr 14, 2021 Hannah Aherin - 2nd Place, Katelyn Swope - 5th Place The College of the Ozarks Golf Teams wrapped up their 2021 season this week as they competed at the Williams Baptist - Battle at Big Creek in Mountain Home, Arkansas. The Lady Cats finished third in the two-day event with a team score of 676. The course played at 5,807 yards and a par of 72. Hannah Aherin paced the Lady Cats with a third-place finish and a score of 162. Katelyn Swope finished in fifth with a score of 165, Kate Voss finished 15th shooting 173, and Ashley Stanphill finished 27th with a score of 187. The Ladies finished in the top three in three of their five tournaments this spring and in the top five in all five events. The men’s course played at a total yardage of 7320 and a par of 72. The Bobcats had a difficult couple of days and finished in ninth place for the two-day event. Kolton Giefer led the Bobcats shooting a 165. Garrett Scott and Stuart Jacobs each finished with a 172. Brent Shinkle and Taylor Melton each recorded a 174 to complete the tournament. Both teams had bright spots and showed steady improvement, while representing the College of the Ozarks with pride and class, as they competed throughout the season.
