College of the Ozarks came out victorious on the road against Lyon College (Ark.) on October 1st in straight sets, 25-22, 25-16, and 25-20. With the victory, the Lady Bobcats are now 8-0 all-time against Lyon.
Despite struggling on the attack in the opening set, the Lady Bobcats built a seven-point lead in the first frame with efficient serving. Following a time-out, the Lady Scots rallied to pull within two-points on a kill by backside hitter Gracen Ratliff. Fortunately, the scrappy Lady Cats salvaged the set, 25-22.
In the second set, C of O found their groove with 15 kills on 29 total attempts (.483) and took the set, 25-16. Lyon managed just 11 kills on 34 attempts and were stymied by service errors. Although the score was closer in the third set, the Lady Cats finished off the Lady Scots, 25-20. With the win the Lady Cats improve to 13-8 while the Lady Scots fall to 10-8.
Lady Bobcat Ryley Thixton led the team with 12 kills. Abi Menzies smacked an efficient 12 kills of her own (.500) to go along with 9 digs. Rielly Wallace led all with 31 assists. Izzy Gibbany had a team high 15 digs.

The Lady Bobcats return to action Saturday, October 5th in a tri-match against Lincoln College at 11 AM and against MidAmerica Nazarene University (Kan.) at 3 PM.
