The Lady Bobcat cross country team competed in the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas this past weekend. With close to 500 runners, comprised primarily of DI and NCAA schools, this event was the largest to date in which the Lady Bobcats have participated.
Lady Bobcat Torri Holder finished in 120th place out of 436 female runners, posting a personal best 5K time of 18:31.82. Also posting personal bests in the competition were Lindsay Heun, Sarah Jenkins, and Madison Hayes.
The women’s cross country team ranks #3 in the AII Conference behind British Columbia and Johnson & Wales. The team will have a weekend off before hosting the Ozarks Ambush on the College of the Ozarks campus, Saturday, October 17th.
