Reed and Cooper Post Personal Bests at Chile Pepper Festival

Reed and CooperThe 28th annual Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas, was the site of the women’s cross country 5K race on Saturday, October 1.  The Lady Bobcats finished 28th in a field of 40 teams with a time of 1:46.51.

Torri Holder once again led the Lady Bobcats with her best season time of 18:36.88, finishing in 43rd place out of 254 team runners.  Following holder were: Kayla Reed (118th - 19:55.21), Melanie Hall (153rd - 20:25.73), Kayla Cooper (223rd - 22:45.89), Naomi Murrell (245th – 25:07.81), and Rosemary Sanders (246th – 25:08.65). 

Reed and Cooper ran personal best times in the Chile Pepper Festival, and all but one of the C of O runners posted improved season times.

The women's next run will take place at the Haskell Invitational in Lawrence, Kansas, on October 8th.
