Lady Bobcat Runners Holder & Reed Qualify for Nationals

Holder and ReedThe women's cross country team placed 3rd of 7 teams in Denver, Colorado, in the A.I.I. Women's Cross Country Conference Meet on Saturday.  It was a brisk 34 degrees when the ladies arrived at Washington Park on Saturday morning, but the temperatures climbed up into the 40's at race time.  The ladies missed 2nd place by just 2 points.

Although impacted by the altitude, Torri Holder took 10th place and Kayla Reed 11th, qualifying them for participation in the National Championship to be held November 21st in North Carolina.  Holder finished with a time of 21:00 in the 5K race, and Reed was close behind at 21:38.  Lindsay Heun (24:33), Megan Cooper (24:36), and Naomi Murrell (24:38) rounded out the Cats Top 5 runners for the event.
