College of the Ozarks' Torri Holder took first place in the college women's division of the Ozarks' Ambush held on Saturday, October 17. With a 5K time of 19:37.92 on the hilly course, she was well ahead of the remaining runners, the closest of which was Tori Kehler of Cottey College, who posted a time of 20:27.74. Holder took the early lead and never looked back.
Also making a splash for the Bobcats was newcomer Kayla Reed, who finished 3rd with a time of 20:36.76. She was followed by Lindsay Heun in 14th place, Megan Cooper (17th), Naomia Murrell (18th), and Sarah Jenkins (20th).
The Lady Cat runners will head to St. Louis this coming weekend to compete in the St. Louis College of Pharmacy Fall Classic. This will be their last meet to close out the regular season. The conference meet will be held November 7th, hosted by Johnson & Wales University-Washington Park, in Denver, Colorado.
