Congratulations go out to Lady Cats' senior Brandy Uchtman. In addition to recently being named Honorable Mention All-American by the WBCA (Women's Basketball Coaches Association), Uchtman has been selected to have her jersey displayed in the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame's "Ring of Honor."
Like three Lady Cats who played before her--Kayla Kepler, Emily Walker, and Morgan Smith--Brandy's jersey will be displayed in recognition of her outstanding play over this past season.
The Ring of Honor is one of the WBHOF's favorite displays and has become one of of their most popular exhibits. Not only does the Ring of Honor provide a colorful backdrop to the Hall of Fame's many archives, it is also provides an opportunity to recognize players for their achievements in the sport. By doing so, the WBHOF seeks to fulfill their mission to "honor the past, celebrate the present, and promote the future" of women's basketball. Uchtman, and her three Lady Cat predecessors, are part of an elite group as well as the HOF's history.
