Strafford’s Abby Oliver to Join Lady Bobcats

Abby OliverHead women’s basketball coach Becky Vest signed her first addition to the Lady Cats’ for the 2017-2018 season.  Abby Oliver, a 5’5” point guard from Strafford High School, gave Vest a verbal commitment this past spring and made it official at Thursday's signing.

Last season, Oliver averaged 17.9 points per game, while shooting 43% from the field, 36% from the three-point line, and 80% from the free throw line.  In addition to scoring, Oliver averaged 4.5 assists, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game for the Indians.

Oliver led her team to a Class 3 State Championship in 2016 and has garnered accolades along the way as an All-Conference (2014, 2015, 2016), All-District (2015, 2016) and All-State (2016) performer.

Coach Vest and the Lady Bobcats welcome Abby Oliver and look forward to her many contributions in the coming years.
