The Lady Bobcats of College of the Ozarks toppled Central Christian College Friday evening at Keeter Gym in Point Lookout by a score of 102-44.
The Lady Cats took an early 23-13 first-quarter lead and never looked back. They proceeded to increase their lead to a 30-point advantage at the half and to plus 47 at the close of the 3rd quarter.
Senior Lady Cat Brandy Uchtman led all scorers with 22, going 8-of-12 from the field, including 3-of-4 from the arc. Freshman Cass Johnson had her three-point shot working, contributing 4 treys in route to 14 total points. Sophomore Shelby Roberts added 13 points to the mix, and every Lady Cat played at least 12 minutes, scored, and collected a rebound. The Lady Cat defense was also strong Friday evening, as they grabbed 10 steals and 39 defensive rebounds, while holding the Tiger’s leading scorer, Heather Crittenden to 12 points. Leading the Lady Cats in rebounds with 6 apiece were Maggie McMenamy, Madi Brethower, and Kelsie Cleeton.
The Lady Cats, now 21-3, will face York College (7-12) on Saturday in the Cats’ final home game of the season. At Saturday’s 3 PM game, the Lady Bobcats will recognize their lone senior, Brandy Uchtman.
