The Lady 'Cats went 1-1 on their road trip to Kentucky, where they competed against two NAIA Division I teams. On Friday evening, the Lady 'Cats defeated St. Catharine by a score of 94-48. C of O had four players in double figures, including Emily Walker leading the way with 17 points. Kayla Kepler scored 15 points, was 9 for 9 from the foul line, and pulled down 8 rebounds. Jeana Raper shot 5-5, (4-4 3PT) to score 14 points, and Alice Heinzler added 11. The Lady Cats took over midway through the first half and had a solid night shooting with 48% FG, 63% 3PT, and 83% FT. On Saturday afternoon, the Lady 'Cats faced NAIA DI No.4 ranked Georgetown College (2-0) and suffered their first loss of the season 67-78. Emily Walker had a huge impact on both sides of the ball and finished with 17 points, including 9-9 shooting from the foul line. Brandy Uchtman added 11 points and 7 boards. The teams went back and forth battling for the lead until Georgetown hit two consecutive 3's midway through the first half. The Lady 'Cats could never gain momentum, shooting 32% from the field and only 10% from the 3 point line. The ladies look to return to their winning ways as they face the Evangel Lady Crusaders on Tuesday evening, 5:30 PM, at home.
