The #19 ranked College of the Ozarks’ Lady Bobcats fell to the Southwestern College Moundbuilders on Tuesday afternoon in Winfield, Kansas, with a 63-81 loss.
Heading into the game, the Lady Cats were on a 5-game winning streak, but Southwestern’s strong shooting percentages of 47% from the field, 54.5% from the 3-point line, and 91.3% from the charity stripe put a halt to the Lady Cats’ winning ways.
Leading the Lady Bobcats were Kayla Kepler (16 points and 3 steals) and Maison Bovard (8 rebounds). Southwestern, led by Montana Rickey with 18 points, had four players score in double digits.
The loss brings the Lady Bobcats’ record to 7-5 on the season as they head into their weekend Classic, where they will seek to post victories against Viterbo and Grand View Universities.
