The College of the Ozarks Lady Bobcats defeated Central Baptist College 80-42 to open the first round of the MCAC South Division Tournament this weekend. The Lady 'Cats came out hitting shots as they formed a 25-5 lead just six minutes into the first half. C of O shot 54% from the field and 40% from the three point line for the game. All players scored for C of O, and Sophomore Brandy Uchtman led the effort with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Senior Emily Walker earned a double double, scoring 13 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. She also had 3 steals. Freshman Jeana Raper scored 11 on 3-6 3PT shooting, and Junior Kayla Kepler had 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The Lady 'Cat defense held CBC to just 22% shooting for the game. Central Baptist was led by Freshman Hana Williams with 18 points. C of O will take on the winner of OKWU vs. CCC tomorrow at 5 pm to decide the MCAC South Division winner.
