The vision of College of the Ozarks is to develop citizens of Christ-like character who are well-educated, hard-working, and patriotic.
While we regularly see many examples of our Lady Bobcat basketball players living out these characteristics—most often related to Christ-like character, commitment to pursuing their education, and hard work—on Wednesday, October 26th, they demonstrated their patriotism by exercising their right to vote.
Since many of the Lady Bobcats live a good distance from home and will be unable to vote in their required polling place due to classes, work assignments and practice, they acquired absentee ballots and gathered together for their own election day to cast their votes.
Head coach Becky Vest commented, “We are thankful for the opportunity to have a voice in electing leaders at the local, state, and national level. One of the best ways we can demonstrate our appreciation for our country and our freedom is to cast our votes for those we believe will lead us well. I am proud of our team’s commitment to take this responsibility seriously.”
