Many times it is the “big things” on which we focus our attention. Oftentimes, however, it is the "little things" that really make an impact.
Recently, University of Houston’s head men’s basketball coach Kelvin Sampson started a t-shirt and shoes campaign for those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Texas. Via Twitter, he asked coaches to send t-shirts and/or shoes or whatever they could to help schools impacted by this disaster.
Coach Vest and her Lady Bobcats heeded the call and stepped into action, quickly packing up a box of shirts and sending them on their way.
Thanks to Coach Sampson’s initiative and the response of coaches across the country, like Coach Vest, this “little thing” has turned into something really big. According to a recent report, over 15,000 donations have been received.
Kudos to the Lady Bobcats for their heartfelt participation in this venture!
