Kepler Posts Double-Double in Lady Cats' Win

Lady Bobcats got back on the winning track tonight against Benedictine College (KS) at the John Brown Classic. CofO held a 36-23 half-time lead with a distinctive 29-16 rebound advantage while holding the Lady Ravens to 31% shooting from the field. Kayla Kepler had a double double at halftime with 13 points and 10 rebounds. 

Tight defensive pressure by the Lady Bobcats held Benedictine to 49 points, 12 under their season average, 33% shooting from the field, and 15 turnovers. CofO out rebounded Benedictine 47-36. The Lady Ravens got as close as 10 points, but couldn't get any closer as the Lady Bobcats controlled clock in the final minutes and extended the lead to as many as 18 before posting the final of 63-49. 

Kayla Kepler (Fair Grove) led the Lady Cats with 18 points, 14 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 assists. Brandy Uchtman (Fordland) added 16 points and 5 rebounds. Despite being plagued with foul trouble most of the night, Tanner Merriman finished with 10 points.  Hannah Wisdom (Skyline) had 7 assists.  

Lady Cats will face rival Evangel tomorrow at 1 pm at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR and then will head into Thanksgiving break. Currently CofO is 3-4 on the season.
