Head Coach Becky Vest announces the addition of former North Arkansas College player Demi Hargrove for the upcoming 2014-15 season. The Flippin, AR native averaged 7.7 points per game for the Lady Pioneers, along with 3.8 rebounds and 3 assists per game. The 5'6" point guard has a self-described love for defense and setting her teammates up to score on the offensive end of the floor. North Arkansas Head Coach Stacie Klott describes Demi as "a smart player, strong defensively and handles the ball very well. Additionally, she was in student government at North Arkansas and participated in various forms of volunteering in the Harrison community."
Demi was a high school teammate of senior post player Tanner Merriman at Flippin High School.
Coach Vest states, "We are pleased to add Demi to College of the Ozarks and our women's basketball team. She adds experience to a young team and possess the qualities that we look for in a point guard. She is a fierce competitor with a strong work ethic. More importantly, she is a young lady with strong Christian beliefs and high character and will be a strong representative of our institution and what we stand for on and off of the basketball floor."
Demi is the seventh member of the 2014-15 recruiting class, joining Jordan Graham as the second transfer student, along with freshmen Maison Bovard, Shelby Roberts, Cheyenne Sheets, Lakin Simmerman, and Madison Wells.
