Clint Woods Clint Woods is entering his first year as the head coach of the College of the Ozarks men’s and women’s cross country teams. Last season, Coach Woods served as the assistant coach of both teams under retired coach and Athletic Director Al Waller, in the team’s first season of competition since the 1980’s.

Woods, 32, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Recreation/Wellness and a Master’s Degree in Recreation from Northwest Missouri State University. Prior to coming to College of the Ozarks, Woods has served as Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach at Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Men’s Director of Bartlesville K-Life, and Women’s Basketball Graduate Assistant at Northwest Missouri State. He attended high school in Nixa, Missouri, where he played tennis and basketball. Clint and his wife, Angie, came to College of the Ozarks from California in 2013.

While working diligently to train his athletes and build a strong program, Woods hopes to challenge each runner to make continued improvements throughout the season. With this goal in mind, it is anticipated the team will have several runners qualify to participate in the conference, and potentially, NAIA national competitions.

In addition to leading the cross country program, Woods currently serves as the College’s director of the Garrison Activities Center and intramurals program, while also teaching in the Physical Education Department.

Erin Atmar is entering her first season as the assistant coach of the College of the Ozarks cross country team. Last season, she served as a volunteer for the teams under Coach Al Waller.

Atmar grew up in Branson, Missouri, where she ran cross country and track for the Branson Pirates. Erin also attended the University of Tulsa, where she studied Exercise Science and ran cross country and track. In addition to cross country, Atmar participated in the 5K, mile, and steeple chase races in track. During her career at Tulsa, Erin was a part of Tulsa's first national qualifying cross country team in the Fall of 2010 and won the Conference USA championship in the steeple chase in the spring of 2013.

Coach Atmar is passionate about mentoring and coaching students through cross country. Her collegiate running experience provides a valuable knowledge base for the College of the Ozarks teams in their training and race strategy. Atmar seeks to help each runner push themselves to achieve personal goals they never thought possible by themselves.
