In their inaugural meet of the season, the men's cross country team took 4th place behind two NCAA DII schools and one NAIA school in their 6K run. The race included eight teams, and the men posted a team time of 1:48:24.
The course was tough and the conditions less than ideal, being very hot and humid, but sophomore Jeremy Wood led the Bobcats with a time of 21:06, taking 14th place overall, and freshman newcomer Jonathan Zimmerman finished in 21:25 for 19th place. Dameon Davis, Kirk Washington and Shane York placed 21, 23 and 27 respectively out of 51 runners.
