Cross Country Adds New Runners for 2015-16

Head Coach Clint Woods has received signed letters of intent from two new runners for the 2015-16 season. 

Jeremy WoodJeremy Wood from West Plains High School posted his best 5K result this past fall with a time of 16:42 at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival in Fayetteville, AR.  Woods comments, “I’m really glad to have Jeremy join our team for the fall.  Jeremy has excelled in both academics and athletics while at West Plains, and I’m confident he will continue that excellence here at College of the Ozarks. We’re excited to add another athlete of high character who will benefit the college in more areas than just athletics.”

Nic WhiteNic White is from Parkview High School in Springfield, where he ran cross country for three seasons.  As a  senior, Nic ran at the 4A MSHSAA sectional meet and recorded a personal best of 17:28. He was one of two runners that made it to the sectional meet from Parkview.   Coach Woods states, “Nic is a very talented student-athlete and I'm very excited to have him join our team. He has a very strong work ethic and comes highly recommended from Coach Hay.  Nic is a great match for our cross county program and his character fits well with the mission of the college. “
