The College of the Ozarks men were victorious in the opening round of the MCAC Conference Tournament on Friday night, defeating Central Christian (Ks.) College, 80-69 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The Bobcats (21-9), who took a 41-27 lead into the locker room at halftime, also won the battle on the boards out-rebounding the Tigers, 38-31. Senior Nathane Simniok paved the way for the Bobcats by collecting a double-double, finishing with 25 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Freshman Cameron Paschke and fellow point guard junior Alex Santiago both played key roles in the 'Cats scoring column on Friday night finishing with 16 and 15, respectively. Simniok also added three blocked shots. Central Christian, who finishes their season 17-14 overall (3-11 in the MCAC), was led by freshman Michael Gholston's 21 points.
